hi everyone.

i am going to be starting work on my 56 chevy pickup soon and i am going to be building a new frame from the firewall back (MAYBE a complete new frame, but it already has a mustang 2 front clip).

i was wondering if 3x3x3/16 tubing would be strong enough. i did a search but couldn't find anything about fullsizes, just minis.

thanks in advance for any help.....

hell yea it would.

i don't think i would go with something that small especially on a fullsize, i would use 2x4x1/4" nothing less

my buddy built his prostreet 67 with 2x3, so i think 3x3 would be fine......

that will work just fine

I am building my "back half" on my '49 sled with 2x3 - working out just fine.

For a full frame - I would go 2x4 though. You will want the strength in the mid section for sure.

Post pics. I love seeing older car/truck build ups on here, makes me feel more at home - LOL

that would work. But if you have the room on a fullsize i would go with 2x4x1/4"
