ive always used home-depot fittings with no problems. but im gonna be working on an s-10 thatll be running pretty high pressure and 5/8" DOT plastic line. i want to use DOT parker fittings on this, now should i use the all brass PTC or compression fittings?

the compressions are damn expensive, but if thats what needs to be used, no prob. ive only heard good things of the brass PTC, but what kinda pressure can they withstand. Thanks in advance

all brass PTC are expensive too, i believe the pressure ratings are similiar. they both have a higher rating than the line being used.

Use compression fittings and the best way to get them cheap is to go to a Truck supply shop and tell them you work for a large truckin company and buy some stuff on there account but pay cash for it. you get it at there stupid discount and nobody is none the wiser!! I do it all the time i use the company name i use to work for. get like a 75% discount!!!

I am using standard brass comp fitting on my 5/8 DOT and the inserts wont fit in the line I have had trouble with the short ones from lowes the bvacks of the nuts have been breaking I found some longer ones that are built a lil better that seem to withstand it I was running usually 250 - 300 PSI I maxed out @ 325 once
