i have an 88 chevy 1500 just wondering if you can flip the bracket that holds the leaf springs in place to the bottom of the axle and then move the leafs to the bottom to lower the back? i know they make flip kits but why couldnt you use the factory shit to do it?

you would have to grind the bracket that is welded to the tube off and put it on top and reweld.

make sure when you reweld that you set your pinion angle correctly.
