Ok, i'm rather new to body work and paint. I shaved the box holes on my dads Ford 350 long box. now when i shaved them i stripped the paint around the the stake pockets and welded them up, used kitty hair on the first coat then filled them with a lightweight filler then sanded them down with 180, 220, then 400 till the were smooth, then i roughed up the old paint to get the clear off and stuff then sprayed it with primer, now that the primer is dry i can still see some ripple around where the edges of the bondo are and other area that i fix, my ? is what r all the right steps to get it perfectly smooth, should i strip it down to metal?, Thanks everyone
