anyone got any pics of an engine driven on a taco 4 cylinder? i am about to put one on just wanting to see were you mounted it and if you kept a/c and what your brackets look like. thanks in advance.

I am going to put one on mine but I am going to use a sanden.I can look to see about brackets for a york if that is what you are going to use.

i got rid of my AC pump... and worked off of the alum. bracket that mounts from that to the motor... if you take it apart you will see what i mean. I just welded a bracket pretty much in the shape of an L and bolted it onto that alum stock bracket... and then bolted the compressor onto that using the bottom mounting holes. One thing that you need to make sure you do is brace it, it shakes around alot! so i took a bracket from the outside of it on the top and bolted it to the bracket that holds it to the motor... to keep it from shaking so damn much... smoothed it right out! I would reccomend getting some high temp steel braided line like 3' or 4' to descipate the heat that the compressor creates. im uploading pics from my camera phone right now i will post them up as soon as its done

i appreciatte it i dont want to loose a/c though i worked my ass off to keep it during the body drop. just looking at differnet ways of trying to fit one in there. ok taco do you have a york? were did you get it?

if you guys wannna save alittle cash on an engine driven compressor go to autozone and get the ac compressor for a 1967 Ford Mustang with the a 390 v8 they run 96.99 new plus a 10 dollar core then just get the clutch for one new online.

i also want an edc but don't know how to build one. if i got the ac compressor off the mustang will it still be at least 9 cfm? and exactly what is a clutch and what specific kind do i need? thanks.
