Ive search on various hydro sites, but I cant find what I need. I am wondering how you mount a hydro cylinder to a macpherson style stut. Do you invert the cylinder so the shaft goes up and the cyl body goes into the strut, or does the cyl sit normal?? Any ((good)) info is appreciated. Im just trying to decide if I want to switch to hydros or keep air.

yes invert it thats all you need to do you will obviously need to cut out the shaft and the bottom of the strut too.

'preciate it John, that link was very useful. The pics of the Cadillac install was exactly what I needed. Ive seen the pic of the Honda strut on ProHoppers site, but thats a normal shock and not a strut, so I didnt know what to do for sure.
Yeah, Im thinking of switching to hydros just to be different and they seem a little more fun.

Prohopper says to use reverse cylinders on mcpherson strut vehicles. I used those on the my maxima and the fuckin sucked. I used regular cylinders, cut the strut, drill a hole in the buttom for the fittings, slid the cylinder into the strut, then welded it in. Welded powerballs to the strut cups and that helped a ton with flexability

I didnt think the reverse flows would work too well in my application. Just dont seem like they are strong enough.
Mack, did you use springs at all or is it just cylinder with an accumulator. I was plannin on using a powerball on the top.

No springs. just a cylinder with accumulators. Little rough but lays lower.

ok listen, DO NOT USE REVERSE FLOW CYLINDERS, i bent 3 out of 4 or howevermany i bent, i constantly blew seals, plain n simple reverse flows suck, get 4 triple seals, slap them in upside down run the hoses through your suspension just make sure nothing pinches or rubs. no springs will get you lower. however on the car make sure your wheel well area has nothing that will eat your tire up, been there did that. ill post pics of my dodge neons suspension and how im installing the juice in the next few days
