SHAVING L.E.D tailights in my tail gate

hey guys i need some help im going to shave some leds in my tail gate but im wondering..how am i going to get to the back of the lights...through the tail gate..does any one have an suggestions for me thanks....

I made an access door on the tailgate. I cut out a hole then cut a piece of sheet metal to cover the then drilled and tapped the piece of sheet meatl along with the tailgate then just bolted it back together.
