If a check valve won't fix it, the compressor needs rebuilt or replaced.

All 4 of my Thomas compressors started doing the same, Just use a check valve. The SMC ones are great, let me know if you don't find one somewhere else.

smc has good check valves there like 20 bucks from suicide doors or street beat customs has push in check valves that look like unions. but i would get a new compressor anyways only because its only going to get worse.

we have both parker and smc check valves. the smc is a diaphram check valve and after time might need to be rebuilt. a parker is all brass, wont crack and is a ball check. never hardly ever goes bad. i have them in 1/8" as well if that is how small your compressor is.
