I'm about to start a full frame on my 98 ranger and need a little info. Last year I made some changes to the front end so it would lay on 20's and had some adverse effects ( wandered alittle at speed and a serious bumpsteer problem ) The z'd frame and fourlink and rearend I'm not worried about, I've done a couple rear clips and a bunch of 4 links, all have worked great, But I don't have a whole lot of knowledge when it comes to front suspension geometry. Does anyoen know any good sources for info on the net or some good books that you don't have to have a degree in engineering to understand? Any help would be appricated. Thanks, Charlie

boyd makes a book, theres chassis engineering, most books you will find will be race-inspired.

but these books arent for dummies, you need a bit of knowledge before you step into it.

the dummies thing is a little more of a joke, I've read a little bit of chassis engineering by herb brooks (?) a the local book store but like you said it's race inspired and I was hoping to find something that is a little more to the point as far as cause and effect. If I end up having to use a book based on race design then that would be ok, just hoping that there was something more hot rod/custom based. Anyone know the name of the Boyd book?

Thanks, Charlie
