stock hinge suicides

Anyone have any pictures of the door jams and latch area of doors with stock hinge suicides? I want suicides but don't want the barn door look. Just wondering how much work had to be done to the rear door jam for the hinges to work. Thanks for any help, Charlie

you gotta rebuild the jamb & rear of the door to the same dimensions as the stock location. i don't have any good pics, i always forget about taking pictures during the build. stock suicide has been a real popular subject on here lately, i think i'll do the doors on my civic soon & take step by step pics to post up....stock hinge RODEOstock hinge SUBURBAN

thanks, anyone else got some close up pictures? I figure I'd have to rebuild the jamb some just to clear the edge of the door thats tipping in. Should I build a pocket into the rear jamb or should I just cut the hinge through like on a aftermarket hinge kit and then brace it from the inside? Thanks, Charlie

I've got an issue of MINITRUCKIN that has the step by step for stock hinges. The issue is March 1998. I don't have a scanner but maybe you can order it through the Bac Issues section. Hope it helps.

^^ actually those are done nicely, ive had the pleasure of openin and shutting them myself, and they work just like stock. thats xtreme_tacoma s truck.

actually now that i look at it i realized i thought the door was the piece with the crazy angle iron on it. the door it self looks straight.
