Belt driven compressor question

Alright, ive been running some crappy compressors and ive gone thru two already for the year ive had my truck. I need to upgrade somehow. What i heard about belt driven is that you lose your A/C, is this true? I have a full size 2001 Chevy. If not, will setting it up for 22"s mess it up?

i did the same thing. The brackets are perfect and fit ur motor with the a/c still in place.
