for those with experience with RE subs and such, what 1 12" sub they make will give the cleanest sound, while still vibrating your chest? only other requirement is that it cant be a large box, since it will go under the back seat or in a center console.thoughts?

Looks like a XXX 12 fits your needs. You will hafta build a console or something because it is deep. You will need 1200+ watts for this thing also. Your next option wold be the SX it does great in a ported box, but I havent tried one in a sealed box yet. I am running the sx in my truck for the time being, and I love it. The SX will be comfy w/ 750-1000 watts on it rms. No need for any more opower on it

i have a memphis 1000.1 Mclass amp, would this amp work with the XXX sub? would ohm loads be correct? thanks

A XXX is not your solution. Thats a SPL sub and it needs room to breathe to run right. I suggest to look under the XXX

so maybe the SE or SX? i know one of them is like 1.8 ohm voice coils and sh1t.
any of yal have personal experience with RE

the sx is the sql sub, that will be your best bet.

The RE website says the XXX is designed to be the ultimate in sonic performance and output. I will be getting the XXX 12 but havent decided if I should get 1 in a ported center console or 2 in a sealed. If i get the 1 ported, I will get the Zapco 1100 amp.

The XXX is NOT the SPL sub. The MT is the SPL sub. The XXX will work fine with 1000 watts. This sub gets LOUD, but it also sounds really good. The XXX would be the sub for you. The SX is another good option, but I would spend just a little more to get the XXX. XXX sounds better(musically and volume)than the sx but the sx still kicks ass.

The MT IS THE SPL SUB.
The XXX IS THE SPL SUB(Not as loud as a MT).
THE SX IS ALSO A SPL SUB(Again not as loud).
THE SE AND RE ARE SQL SUBS.

You can run a XXX in a sealed enclosure and it won't sound bad. They have some decent SQL to them. You just have to have the right enclosure. I would look into a SX or SE though.
