I was wondering, when you do a b/d, or Z the frame or raise the raise the front crossmember, and you run 20's or bigger, what do you do for the hood hinges, I have a 71 Gmc, and the 22's I got for it are forcing me take the hood off. I just need some ideas. Thanks

I was going to use hood hinges of an 97 Ford ranger for mine because they are recessed into the fire wall, or you can suicide the hood man.

im not sure how you would do it on that truck but you can fabricate the hood hinges and move them in about 3 inch's is what you would need on that truck not sure but you can do something like that work's really well if you do it right just throwing a idea out there for ya. good luck.

check out the bilt rite hinges that Sachse Rod Shop sells. they are an aluminum scizzor hinge that can be mounted on the firewall and will let the hood open higher than the stock hinges.

the frame crossmember can be cut down to lay the big wheels or Z the frame. either is a good way to do that.

Ill soon be offering the notched engine crossmember like Turner used to sell.
