oasis compresser

i have a 02 taco 2.4 i am currently lookin into a oasis compresser i just bought a 145 amp alternator and was gonna runn another battery will that be enough to handle the oasis its only to fill a five gallon tank so i heard it should be lesss than a min fillin it what amps it draws it is for a real short time

yea but i would go with an edc because its faster and cheaper.

yea but he does have 2.4l might be too doggy to turn it and keep power to the engine.

yea that might be enough it only runs like what 12 volts, same as a viar 450 i think.

tell that to the guys with 80hp mazdas and yorks.

Should have no trouble on the 2.4 running an EDC. It takes hardly any effort to rotate the pump assembly when engaged.

it'll take 10-15 seconds to fill a 7 gal. tank from 110 to 150psi. i'm running a 130 amp (stock) alt w/ one battery (moved near the oasis) and no problems yet filling a 12 gal tank. a second battery w/ an isolator is on the to do list, but one works fine, just dims the lights while its running.

hay thats good then, cause i am puttin a edc on my car over the winter, and was afraid of losin power on the engine.

A EDC isn't faster then a oasis, a edc does 9 cfm at 3000 rpm, an oasis does 13 cfm at o rpm, i run a stock alternator with another battery mounted right next to my compressor and it fills my 15 gallons up super fucking quick. I would run a oasis over a EDC.

^^^ ditto, the only advantage is the noise level, edc is quiet as fuck, but an oasis isn't prohibitively loud either, louder than a 450c, but not crazy... noise for 20 seconds vs. a pain in the ass edc install (at least it looked like a pain to me).

i would run a EDC ANYDAY of the week before i would EVER put a electric compressor on my truck.

I hate those noisy fuckin things! My truck has been bottle fed from day one. But im gonna be puttin an EDC on my truck soon. I already have the compressor just gotta mount it to the engine.
