alright heres the deal, i'm about to get a dawg, i've never touched a mazda before, but i have done rangers, s10s, fullsize trucks etc so i know what i'm doin; i just dont know the b series well. so this is what i'm gettin at what am i gettin myself into suspension wise and sfbd-wise..rear suspension wont be a big deal, as for the front what all is needed to lay out on a 20 in wheel? will i need control arms? if so from who?, and what will the control arms do for me? i'm not sure i will end up puttin 20s on the truck but want to set it up that way just in case i ever do. umm, hows every1 doin sfbd's on these trucks? its a single cab short bed. last question i have for now is the 5 lug conversion..what parts work best on the swap? i'm not lookin to cut corners so i want the best way to do all of the above. But since i'm new to tha mazda thing i'm probably gonna keep comin back to this post as i go on with the build when i run into problems or can figure stuff out..thanks in advance..oh yeah sorry this is kinda long!

any more info on this? i'm really just confused about the front suspension..what i am considering is toy spindles to get 5 lug, so from there what do i do about control arms? i do want tubular arms, and will probably run a r62 slambag...please help me..lol

for the 5 lug conversion in the front you are able to run Aerostar hubs (i havnt done this myself YET, and im not sure what year) supposedly mid 90's Aerostar hubs will go right on in place of the mazda one's.

For the rear, go with a toyota rear end.

Im using a 87 RX7 IRS for mine.

Im wondering about the whole control arm thing myself as im Stock Flooring mine and I want to set it up for 20's as well.

Not tube lower arms, LOWERED lower control arms, like the ones lAim sells.

The reason is geometry, a lowered arm is engineered for proper camber at low ride heights, not engineered to work with bags. You can make them work with bags, but spindles are easier to work with, even though they push the wheel out.

tube arms = a-ok.

ok so russd..tube arms are good..who makes good quality arms? will i need drop spindles if i use the aerostar hubs or should i get toyo spindles? and if i use toyo spindles what do i use for control arms? does byc make arms for this application? or do u have a better idea aside from a total suspension change
