ok i have all 1/2 inch lines and valves i never had a problem till yesterday. i wanted to slow my sh!t down so it dosent slam on the ground so i went to osh and got some 1/2 redusers to 1/8 now its nice and slow but heres the thing when im @ 0 psi in the bags and i air it up it sounds like the dump opens BUT if i have some air in the bag and i hit it up again it dosent do it wtf, any one know y it sounds like that and if i take the redusers out its fine ???????????????????????????????

one reason may b because in order for the valve to close it has to have backpressure. when the valve has no air in it it has no back pressure, and when u put air in it some goes out until the pressure closes the valve. when u already have air in the bag it is closed already from back pressure so u dont hear that sound. hope this helps, but im not 2 sure about the reducer thing

1/2" valves are pretty quick, and with a reducer, you have the air coming in quicker than it it can escape and create the backpressure. Without the reducer, you had the backpressure build up supefast because it jumped out of the 1/2" as fast as it went in, and you dont hear it. Slow down the dump..... slow down back pressure buildup, so you hear it.

ok i see what you are saying but how come it dosent do it when i take the reduser out ? does the sise of the hole matter it does it with the 1/8 but not with the 1/2 inch

Just cuz the air comes out of the 1/2 valve so quick, that the backpressure builds fast, and you dont hear the hiss. You hear it when you slow it down, ecause it takes longer for the initial air to come out.I had the same issue when I put ball valves on mine to slow the dumps, freaked me out at first too.

Yea with a lot of setups that are pretty quick, like un reduced 1/2" youll hear a pop/hiss right as you lift it from 0. It's the backpressure thing like already mentioned.

Do any of you guys get a squeal/fart sound when using small reducers? lol
