Who here is running a 3link without using super pivots or heims? I'm just wondering what it's like to just use the regular weld on bushing ends, if you can still hit sides a little. Let me know the pros/cons.

u can but i wouldnt recommend itsince it puts hella stress on the bushings....

I see what you mean. Do we use a super pivot just on the single front bushing, or does it absolutely need them on the lower bars as well? Thanks James.

you would need them on all 3 bars.

ive installed many wishbone 3-links without superpivots or heims and while the sides arnt as easy, it def doesnt hurt anything.

I think just one on the upper, third, link at the axle would be sufficient, make it as loose as a bushed four link anyway.

Not disagreeing, just thinking out loud.

I guess we will use the Super Pivot for that one to loosen things up a bit. Also, instead of tabs sticking straight up, I will gusset the sides of them and sort of 'wrap' them around the crossmember. Seem like that'd be good?

sounds good to me.

Thanks guys. He's planning on us getting started on it around Christmas, its a 89 Hardbody but we might just do the front first (funds limited since he got fired from his job) but that also means he'll have time to help out to say he did a lot of the work.
