03 ford focus Hb air cylinder ?s

a friend of mine is having air cylinder issues on the front of his focus, hes currently running a 4" cylinder. when laid out the rim rubs the can and dosnt go any lower due to this issue. any suggestions? he also wants to know can he run a 3" cylinder i told him he probably shouldnt for safty issues. due to twisting & snapping possiblity of the shaft.

re-align the front, maybe the camber could be adjust to not be as negative when its layed. that will buy you some room if it the top thats rubbing. Or maybe a wheel spacer.
