Anybody heard of a product used as a clear coat on billets so that you dont have to polish so often?????Bonspeed wants $75 a wheel to have them clear coated.......any ideas?????

Clear Coating Polished items does not prevent them from tarnishing. It just takes longer. Aluminum doesnt shine as good when cleared either. So if you want the best shine on the wheels I would just leave them uncleared. But if you do not want to maintain the polish all the time go for clear.

it should hold its shine if its got a really good polish on it. it will help against oxidation.

i worked at a chrome shope and when we would ploish brass, alum, stainless, and the customers didnt want to clean it often we just sent it down to the powder coater and we never had any complaints and actually i had one of my parts done and it still looks as good as the day it was done
