My 2.9l ford

Hi guys, i got a 86 ranger with the 2.9l engine. I am rebuilding the whole motor and want to squeez all i can out of it. I am going to use a 58mm t/b, cold air intake, t/b spacers. Its so hard to find info on this motor and was wondering if anyone had any or any ideas on what other upgrades i can go with. Thx for any help guys.

i gotta 2.9l also i have a cam port and polished head bigger injectors (from a 4.0) where did you get your throttle body?

i got the 58mm throttle body from, i think it was a 4.0l, im not too sure on that tho, where did you get your cam and heads?

if its FI'd, you can get the 19lb injectors off of the 5.0HO Mustang motor. Cold air intake, exhaust (2.25-2.50 should work perfectly), cams...small stuff. Check www.rangerpowersorts.com or www.rangerscene.com

if it was me id throgh it in the trash lol.2.9s are prone for headgaskets and cracking heads.
