I looking at putting 3 JL 10" w7's slot ported with 3 JL 500/1 in a 1991 extended cab s-10. What do u all think about this? I"m getting it all done for a good price.I what it really loud.

That will pound pretty good. What are you running for highs though?

I will have a JL 300/4 and all Eclipse speakers and a Eclipse 8454 head.

ya laminate or plexi windows cause your probobly gonna shatter your windows.

if your gonna go with the 500/1 i would go with two 10s. your gonna need way more power than 500 to push three 10s.

the jl w7 10's need between 250 and 1000 watts to sound good. 500 watts being the perfect amount of power. with the 500/1 your only pushing around 165 to each speaker.

so if you want three 10s go with the 1000/1 pushing 333 to each speaker which is near perfect.

if you want to run the 500/1, go with two 10s. it will sound way better than three. trust me.

^^^He said a 500 on each. I think you should do two ported on a 1000. Just did two 12s ported each on a 1000 in a tundra and it was pretty loud. The more power you can give them the better.

Ya each one will have its own amp and all ported. I want it for show as well as loud.
