I just want heat or defrost.. even if all it does is comes from the top dash vent by the windshield so I can see through my window..lol.

I got a 3" bd, and i know its possible to KEEP heat, but what about re-installing it.. worth the trouble? what's involved and how can i check to see if its possible in my truck's particular case? thanks!

yank the dash out ricky. im in the process of putting my tubs in my firewall and the heater box is right there. im not moving it at all. it still bolts in the factory locations. im just gonna build the tub around it.

Did you have a/c in that truck? i had a/c but im takin it out and runnin just heat. i got a new box from a truck that had no a/c so the box is different.

it depends on where the floor is cut for your body drop...u can usually keep the blower and a/c box..but the heater box and ductwork is right above the tranny hump..so if your bodydrop was done str8 across the firewall its not gonna just fit right back in..however if it was cut across the firewall..then back in front of the shifter (in between shifter and heater)then you can put it back in because you shouldnt have lost any space...

Go to the junk yard and get a rear unit for a 4runner it fits in the center console and is a sell contained heater core and blower fan unit. I picked one up for all most nothing but never used it and gave it to a freind

^hell yea, great idea! how would i go about having it blow through my dash windshield vent for defrost? well i dunno.. id just really like to be able to see but you dont always use hot air to clear up the window. whether the heater has ducts going to the dash or not, id like it even if it just blows from a hole in my console lol..
