carb. help

yea im lookin 2 buy a new carb and intake manifold but dont know where 2 start lookin. i have a 85 C10 electric choke and part elec. and part manuel . when i look around for one they ask if its hot air or somethin like that. so if anyone knows or can help me

Call Summit racing or Jegs. They should be able to hook you up with whatever you need.

I like my edelbrock 1406 elec choke carb, very reliable, tuned right out of the box, and power is plenty for me, but it's not the best choice (from what I hear) if you really want to be fast and have a lot of engine mods. Demon and Holley are the way to go for true performance. I've never heard any one intake to be the shit, but you kinda need to know where you want to make power to start out, low rpm power manifolds differ from high rpm power band manifolds. you'll most likely want a lower power band if you just want to play on the street.
