actually the taper in the spindle wont let you do that unless you grind it all out and taper it the other way....... and then you also have to run bigger wheels cant use the stock wheels real effectively......

Def. A good write up. I could have used this like a year or so ago. Anyways. As far as the cinder block...I can see him just supporting the lower arm. Not much weight. He did mention supporting the trucks weight with the jack stands. Now if it were similar to the S-dimes and you had the pressure of the springs...well thats a different story. GOOD Job.

how much of a drop can you expect if you jsut flipped the lower balljoint?

ok and will you need an alignment for sure after doing this?

You can get away without one. It won't change anything enough to make a huge difference. But after bagging, or installing spindles or drop arms I definitely would.

i used this to flip mine i did not touch the top ball joint i also didnt remove brakes when i did second side i also didnt undo the nut on the balljoint i simple took out the lower bolts raised entire assemble up with ratchet strap to garage rafters and trimmed out hump and lowered it down and rebolted with 4 washers on each was a bit harder to manuever whole assembly but saved time of seperating joints and removing brakes. but great write up does anyone think that the upper joint should be flipped also????

if you put the upper bj on top of the a arm it would help correct the alignment just that much more. you might get a hair less camber gain if your bagged and layed out.
