Yeah on my old lowrider, I just had to take the 13s down there. They wouldn't put them on the car. But it took the techs about 15 minutes a tire to get them on. But 155/80/13s aren't meant for 7 inch wide wheels.

Haha yeah man! 155/80s aren't as bad as those old 5.20 bias plys they used to run back in the day though... the tread is like 4.5 inches wide on them.

I took Seths advice and got my wheels bored out. I feel safer knowing that my wheels arent gonna possibly fall off do to me wanting to be a cheap ass.

if you grid the tabs and use the correct lugs you will never have problems.... ive been tab grinded for several years.... since i think late 01 or early 02.... never any problems

Im gettin it done for 35 a wheel, not bad for a lil piece of mind. My wife will be driving this truck at some point when its reliable enough. So thats one of the reasons i decided to bore the wheels.

I would STRONGLY advise against doing this, mainly for reasons like the ones seth mentioned, an EXPENSIVE machine shop will charge you $100 at the most, the one i went to charged me $15 a hole. If its worth doing, its worth doing correctly, I dont understand why people are so gung ho on short cuts.
