that aftermarket rim is designed for a domestic right? so it can clear the front 4 wheel drive hubs?
okay ask yourself this why are the holes on gm wheels so big compared to the tiny studs on b2200?
I don't think anyone has touched on the stud size differance.
and I doubt these trucks are under 2500 pounds when a hatchback civic weighs that much
It's all a matter of safety say if you hit a curb or something along those lines if your wheel is fitted against those tabs it can transfer the impact more effectively to the hub, suspension, frame
thoes lug nuts will not take a hard knock like that esp with age of the vehicle we are talking about
they may take the first time or the second but when they come off you are in a world of hurt if the law and insurance get involved
I think the guys saying it's "the mini-trucker way" sre flst out wrong if you can't afford $15 for each wheel to get bored wait and don't put them on
and if you grind tabs you may as well go to home depot and replace all the bolts in your suspension with their crap you are running the same risk.
Ok i'm getting off my high horse now.....

and this doesnt effect the balence and stabilty of the hub itself? it wont mess your truck up or anything? im not trying to get myself killed... or have something break down the road

I don't think it makes a shit of difference... I did have my Z71s machined out, just because it was less of a hassle, and only $20 per wheel.

Less hassle? It took me an hour to grind all 16 tabs completely down to nothing.
It would have taken me a hell of a lot longer to find a machine shop, load up the wheels, drive them to the machine shop, drop them off, pick them up in a day or a week, bring them back home, and then mount them.
I guess if you don't own an angle grinder, it would be a hassle.

Yeah, I don't have many tools at my house, I would of have to drive to my buddy's house to do it, so I might of well drove to the machine shop. It was no big deal, picked them up 2 days later, I think they were done the next day, since I dropped them off right before closing. I wasn't in a hurry to get them on.

hell with a machine shop just do the router way by yourself and save a $100. you gota know someone with a router right? I think the bit you would need is like $15 or so

dunno where you get your bits from... but the proper bit to use costs around $50.00

hmm well even so its still cheaper and you can now do multiple sets of wheels. Maybe even get payed to do other peoples.
