would u still use the factory hood release?

You can if you want to, the front pops up like factory before you hinge the whole assembly forward to open up the engine bay

i actually bought the same hinges to do my isuzu hood about 7 years ago, and never got around to it, debating on doing mazda hood, just really curious if the factory battery location is still usable or would I have to relocate the battery?

My truck already had the battery relocated when i choose to do my hood. When we did Chris's hood for this write up i don't remember if we put his battery back in or not. I don't think there is any clearance issue with the battery if yours is strapped down and not an oversized/improperly sized battery.
