well, it depends
Its only a rear antilock system, and it relies on two valves, one n the firewall and one at the rear axle. There is also a sending unit in the rear end for speed sensing.
If you have changed any of these parts, you will need to put them back.
Also, its a very crude antilock, compared to todays systems, it is just a pressure limiting valve to the rear drums. Because it doesnt have any front antilock, you can actually slide the front wheels and pull the back along with almost no braking.
So unless you are hauling lots of gravel, or wood, or helping shuttle immagrants, or anything else that requires using your truck bed as a TRUCK BED.... you wont need or miss the ABS rear brakes.
But like Leif said, get a haynes manual, it will have a troubleshooting section with instructions like "look at the valve, if it is leaking, replace, if it is not leaking, drive to the dealer "
