whats up dude!!!! if im correct u must b talking about ur rear anti-lock unit. yes u can get rid of it, i did and cant tell a bit of difference. just change it over so it looks just like a mazda setup without it, i took the wire harness off but ur light on the dash will stay on. when i installed my white face gauges the spot that would b for ur anti-lock light will now b a defrost light. no one will ever know. hit me up if any more ????'s hope i didnt confuse u.

Kool man exactly how do you get rid of it? What lines go where???

u gotta look real hard but u can somewhat c in 1 of my pics. basicaly all ur going to do is undo the line that goes in from the front, undo the line that comes from ur diff and connect them with the brake hose. dont worry about all the lines on the unit, ignore them. ur bypassing all that. the brake set up on a mazdawg is the bake fluid comes bake feeds though the hose and line into the top port of the wheel cylinder on the pass side, comes out the bottom port and feeds all the way across the the wheel cylinder on the driver side. just picure how simple it is with that unit not in there and u will c exacly how to do it.

OOO i forgot to tell ya if ur doing a notch all u have to do is replace the last piece of metal line that would have fed into that unit with a longer 1 and bend it to shape with the notch. i think cant remember but i think it about a 54" piece if that. cost u about 10-15 $$$$ from autozone. just take a piece of line with the size fitting u need and match it up so u wont have to make more than 1 trip.!!!! look closely at the pic and follow the hose to both ends and u can c how its done.

There is a line junction on the side of the frame rail where the frame starts to kick up towards the rear of the truck that makes a good spot to start to run your new line from. I just eliminated everything ABS related from that point to the rear flex line bracket. You can unclip the speed sensor wiring from the gear carrier and discard it as well. There will be an ABS lite on on the dash after you do this but you can fix this by simply removing the bulb from the back of the instrument cluster. This was how I did my truck a few years ago and it worked out well. I'm pretty sure that the rear ABS doesn't do a whole fark of alot on these trucks anyways. I think that you could probably use a flex line from a 4x4 Mazda if you need a little bit more length out of the line to acomadate a higher lift rear setup(cantilever, mechanical advantage etc)

yeah i took off the abs block thingie in the back and there was no difference at all. it stopped like it always did but the damn light is annoying on the dash. sometimes i wanna beat it with a hammer but a steel dash is coming soon so yeah.

CONRAD how did you connect the steel line coming from the front to the line coming off of the rearend?

i just slid my rubber hose over the steel line and put a hose clamp on tight as hell....
