i am starting my body drop in less than a month mine also has the problem like Chris's i have uppers and lowers on mine

no we are talking about Z'ing the frame. you cut the frame rite in front of the fire wall on both sides. you then raise the front part of the frame up however far you are going to z it and weld everything back together. this way the crossmember is raised and the truck will then lay flat. this is not something that should be attempted by just anyone. there is alot of things that could go wrong and your truck could end up in the crusher if not done properly.

do a search int he forums and you will find a ton of pics of z-frames and info i got you one pic so you get the basic concept. know one can tell you how much you need to Z your frame you have to body drop the truck lay it out and see how far your front rockers are from the ground.

that pic is from a toyota but that is what you have to do the fire wall is on the left of the pic. see how you raise the front part of the frame that has the engine crossmember and suspension attached to it up? that in turn brings the front of the rocker down even with the ground and lays it out flat. good luck.

mine will be a 2inch z and then a traditional bodydrop

after i Z the frame will i have to lower the front horns or not till i bodydrop it?

i thought that you were bodydropping the truck. if u are just bagging it nothing has to be done as far as Z ing the frame
