Lincoln and miller are the same quality, both great, both American made, both easy to find parts for, Lincolns been in business for over 100years comes from Cleveland,my boss has had the same Lincoln mig welder for a good 10 years, and were in a very busy body shop. Millers been around since the 1900's not as long as Lincoln, but just as good, and the great thing is Hobart

I used both and now only use lincoln, had my 175 for about 3 or 4 years now with no problems and my 200 for 2 years failure free and my 2 engine drivens, 1 is damn near 20 years old ( don't even know where it come from) adn my latest one is about a year old with no probs also. I couldn't be happier. And I too belive they put down a better weld

my lincoln 170t (same welder, click heat instead of inf) has been perfect since bought new in 1998, its worked on a whole assload of trucks, some of them were even mine haha.

The nicest thing though, is when someone who has never welded before picks up the gun and lays out a perfect bead on their second or third pass. Makes anyone look like a pro. Best birthday present to myself EVA.

I chose the miller 175 because used one before i bought mine and loved it. Im glad i went that route..the welding supply stores around here stock more miller products than lincoln. Alot of the lincoln consumables you have to order from them. Good luck with your purchase! Im sure it will last you a long time.
