really? mine cuts pretty fast on 1/4. had it for like 14 months now, and gets as shit load of use. sure beats the hell out of a cut off wheel or a metal nibber. back to the welders, i have a millermatic 210, fucking kicks ass, beats the shit out of my old lincoln any day.

well from an aussie perspective...lol....we hav heaps of dramas with parts etc for our lincolns (tig) and we have one miller at the shop which is about 20years old and still goin....the best ones are an aussie brand called cigweld theres my 2 cents

I have both a Miller and a Lincoln and i must say they have both been great welders. The lincoln has a softer touch when you first strike a arc. However if you coil up the ground on a Miller it will do the same. I also own a couple of Esab machines they are also very nice.

I've never used or owned a Miller, so I can be no judge on them. But I've used a few Lincolns, and have nothing bad to say.

I used to use my uncles Lincoln Tombstone, with a wire feed, and a Tweco stinger. Possibly the nicest welder I've ever used. Also used a Lincoln 500. Stock stinger was shit, so bought a Tweco, and loved it after that. Great for heavy stuff. At home, I now use a Hanson. Put a Tweco stinger on it, and got some practice tuning it, and it welds just as nice as the Lincoln at work.

yeah I think I am just more comfortable moving at a faster paceThe larger machines I have used are more suited for my travel speednot that it is bad, I just find myself having to slow down a bit
