i usually see the frame under axle deal on blazers and durangos. I think its so they don't have to hack up the back floor board as much due to monster notches and what not.

the frame under the rear end is great if you dont want good lift just my

If you have a big enough diameter wheel though i guess you could get enough lift out of it. Ya think?

i helped build an isuzu frame like this back about 4-5 yrs ago. maybe longer.
any of you know of twisted metal fabrications? the guy that owns it used to be my buisness partner.
anyone remember a ranger with white and blue flames from georgia, called backdraft?
it was featured in minitruckin about 2-3 yrs ago. twisted metal reworked the frame of backdraft and made it underslung along with a whole new face lift and its got one bag over the rearend now.
the wack part is that we got the idea from jody's(owner of twisted metal) dads, super late model race car. apparently they have been using this setup for years.

You figure that bag will be able to lift the rear of that truck once its a truck again? I think its MUCH too close to the pivot to have enough mechanical advantage to lift the truck.

I 2nd and 3rd that.

it should get plenty of lift from its position..its just going to take a higher psi to lift the truck.

just think if that lifted all the way it would pull the drive shaft out. i've done a s-10 like that and it gets about 2 and a half feet lift. also if i wanted more lift i would of thrown a lift kit on the truck in the first place lol my 2 cents, DRIVEN LOW AND DRIVEN SLOW, and it doesnt take much air to lift the truck. just my thought.

HUH? i dont think youre understanding what theyre talking about.....you got over 2 feet of travel??, its impossible with the frame under the rearend. you figure if youre running a 20 inch wheels and tire, youd prolly get less than a foot of lift before it hits.

im not entirely sure where roger is nowadays. i saw him at nopi but didnt really get to talk to him in detail. the truck looks drastically different than when it was still called backdraft. instead of the blue and white reverse flames its got what i would say are more like tribal flames that are tottally different than its original. roger did tell me that he had gotten married and lives somewhere around griffin or maybe mc donough. im not sure where his new house is.
ill have to look and see if i can find some of the newer pics of backdraft.

Nice looking work but the only problem I see is why have that much advantage with only that much travel. No need for the pressure and wear one the bag if you cant use it.
