truck stopped running for no reason

hey guys im trying to get my truck back on the road by tuesday and im getting close but today it started and died because the battery was dead and i had the guages off which makes the alt not work .but anyway i got another battery and hooked up the guages and now it just turns over almost cranks but instead blows a puff of white smoke out. i have just replaced the plugs and wires and it was running real good so i don't konw why this is happening. does anybody know anything i can try. Also the fuel pump and fuel filter are new and it was running with them.

ive seen alot of fuel injected vehicles just stop running after running good, Alot of time the first thing i check is the map sensor, try un plugging it and plugging it back in, hope that helps

yeah i've unplugged everything even put a new TBI gasket on it. nothing is working.

have you checked your timing, maybe it jumped timing because of the low battery, also are you positive all your plug wires are in the right spot

yeah my friend is saying timing too and that i prolly need a new belt. hes going to replace that tomorrow.

my gas line come off one time underneath my truck and it quit running

cant be fuel, gas is spraying in the throttle body and we've poured a lil gas down in there and it still doesnt start up..it acts like it wants to but it sputters a lil bit then kinda smokes thru the tbi

what size engine is it, i got a 4.3 vortec in my 93 s10 and it was turning over but the fuel pump wasen't workin, ended up being the fuel pump relay, its a little plug on the drivers side of the firewall
