I've noticed webercarbsdirect.com has 3 different models available for the B2200. Can someone fill me in on the Pros/Cons of each model and the use of each. Also, where is the best price online?

PS - Im also looking for a header along with a cam and some specs on a good aftermarket cam.

the only header available that i know of is made by pacesetter, should run you around $140 or so, make sure you either get it powdercoated or spray it with hi temp paint or you will have a nice rusty header with burnt stock paint, the weber carbs im aware of are the 32/36 which is more of a small upgrade basically to get rid of all the vacuum lines, thats what i am running, and there is the 38 outlaw, more of a performance carb, the numbers i believe represent the sizes im millimeteres of the carbs barrels, ( feel free to correct me if im wrong ) so that is all the info i know about the differences, and you will also need a fuel pressure regulator

hope taht helps

Go with the 32/36. Ive got a 38 and its way to much carb for the truck. If youve got the extra money get the ceramic Pacesetter header, but if not, like ohsolo said, be sure to sand all the paint off that it comes with and spray it with some high temp shit.

Yes the numbers are the venturi body diameters. A 32/36 should give most ppl everything the want, the 38 is about the ideal size for power but that also makes it sluggish at low rpms and not emissions friendly. Also the 38 both barrels open at the same time where the 32/36 opens gradually making it more drivable and economic.

If you're going to run a Header and a Cam you could run the 38 but the 32/36 will be enough fuel. Im personally running the 38 and I have had no problems with it.

Is there any way to pass smog with a Weber carb in California?

my buddy had a weber 38 he didn't like so he got a 32/36 he said it ran a lot better. I put a 32/36 on mine takes a little time to warm up but other than that it runs great.

the 38/38 dges is a gas guzzler, it also takes alot of tweeking. I had a really hard time getting it to run well. when i didn't have jacobs ignition, it ran like shit. runs ok now, i'd go with the manual choke too, the eletric choke kinda blows cause if you shut your truck off, the plates close in about 20 min, but the motors still pretty warm, and it makes it hard to start sometimes
