Is this alittle high to you folks

I was quoted $315 for a need fuel pump with a lifetime warranty from the parts store. I found one on e-bay new for $135 but you know how e-bay pans out sometimes, thoughts?? It is for a 97 2.2L

Not sure about the pump for the 2.2, but a friend of mine bought one for a 5.7 and it was somewhere around the $300 range. So it might be right.

if you buy the one with the warranty it will never give you trouble. if you buy the one on ebay it will die in 3 months. that's usually my experience with stuff like that.

yea that`s real high around my house you can buy them for like 225 but i thought that was way to much also so i went with the external fuel pump from summit for 165 because i was putting a fuel cell in eventually so i just moved my plans

Pump for my 98 GM was over $300. GM doesn't seperate the pump from the sending unit, so when you buy it you are actually getting the entire sending unit: level sender, pressure sender, pump, o ring and housing. If you have the other parts in good working order, you can buy the pump only threw google.

even though you can buy just the "pump part" seperate from jegs it is next to impossible to get it out of there with out breaking the plastic housing.... whatever you do make sure you get a ac delco one all of the other ones are JUNK... you may check your local salvage yards... I work at one and we get $75 for them...

A fuel pump&sender in my 94 2.3 ranger installed was 400

make sure you get an ac delco..no matter the cost or from where..as long as its an ac delco..if not it wont crank till the second time, the cheap ones dont build the pressure up fast enough..

I bought a Holley Blue Pump for about $150 and a fuel cell from Jeg's with built in sending unit...Works like a champ.

i paid 75 bucks for a refurbished one and it has like a 5 year warranty
