even the 2600i head, which is known for crack failures, has to be run hot for the head to crack.

The head gasket can't be put on upside down, the oil returns and stuff won't line up. Every B2200/2000 I've heard of with high pressure in the coolant system had a head gasket problem as well. I highly recommend retorqing the head after its been warmed up and ran once, almost always some of the head bolts are loose.

i used a felpro gasket, said never needed retorqing, but as much of a pain as it is, i had better recheck it, thanks for the heads up.

Recheck the head gasket and bolts you might have a bolt in a water port.
