Does anyone know if the AirLift Company EDC kit for the Pre-Vortec 350 trucks will fit the 350 in the Caprices (not the LT1). I can't remember how the bracketry differs on the truck and car motors... but looking for input.

i do not have an EDC on mine yet but if you go to onboardair.com you will find a bracket for some of the chevy trucks, but the down side is it goes in place of your stock a/c. i personally don't give 2 sh*ts about a/c, but it will work on caprices/impalas.

You're right, if you're willing to get rid of your A/C, Kilby Enterprises/onboardair offers the bracket that bolts in place of your a/c compressor for $40. Bolt your york in and go - but keep in mind that since it lays the compressor on its left side in this setup, you'll need a right hand suction compressor.

In the alternative, Air lift sells a pre-vortec bracket kit that will work on these cars BUT only if you singificantly relocate or entirely remove your ABS unit located on the drivers side frame rail. Reason for this being that it places the compressor outboard and lower than the alternator., which is the same space that your abs unit occupies.

So you are telling me the AirLift EDC bracketry WILL work? Alternator, etc will work with their brackets, I just have to make room around it????

that rules

Absolutely - just make sure you get the pre-vortec V8 kit.

i just installed mine yesterday, with the bracket from kilby that takes place of the a/c. it's gotta be one of the easiest installs, and that compressor is bad ass!!!. i'll post pics.
