Actually, everyone here as neglected a crucial fact. He is 16. That means he could have been saving money for years. Maybe his dad's name is on a bank loan? So what, my girlfriend's car is under her parent's names, and she pays every dime of it on time by herself, and also managed to come up with a couple thousand to go on a couple of trips that would look good on her college applications.

Lets do a little math here. 3 nights a month DJing: Easily $1.5k a month. Here in the middle of nowhere, you get paid $100 an hour with a good song collection and a mediocre system.

Now 1500 * 12 = 18,000. Lets say he only makes $15k a year.

1500/mo-700/mo=800 a month.

Lets say he went for a $4k wheel and tire set.4000/800=5 months to buy the wheels.

Oh, but what about insurance. With a clean record, good student discount, ect., you can easily get that down to 200-250.

800-250=5504000/550=7.2727272727272727272727272727273 (We'll say 8 months.)

So, after 8 months, it only takes 1k max to get a vertical door kit. That's 2 months, and concidering he works at a shop, I bet he could get them for alot less. As for the body kit and all, meybe he saved up for it before he bought the truck?

In conclusion, at 16 years old, it is perfectly possible to own and modify a $30,000 truck. Difficult: yes. Impossible: Not because you can't do it.

Wow, so clever. You can go on Ebaumsworld and post pictures on a forum using HTML.

At least the pictures have somewhat correct grammer.
