I know this question on th weber's has been beat to death, But i'm looking for info on what all i will require to install a weber on an automatic 2000/2200. I know there are a couple more hoses and such. Also was wondering who everyone is buying through currently, Also which setup is everyone running? My truck hasa b2000 engine in it....thanks

no extra hoses, no extra stuff.

installs the same carb as the manual trans. There is an extra dashpot on the factory carb, but the weber does not require this. Just be sure to set the idle properly to prevent creeping.

Yes I have done this.

Get a 32/36 dgev, the 38 dges is tempting but unneeded, the progressive carb will allow better mileage with the auto, and with the dges' syncronous barrels and my automatic I always felt like I was going to rear end the car in front of me. But especially if you havent done anything to the motor, use the 32/36.

Or the 34/34, which is a solex design. And cheaper, from what I have seen. I havent tried it though.

Russ I am also looking to throw a header and Cam in it for this year, Next year i will take on the daunting task of trying to throw one of my probe engines in it. What cam/header/carb combo do you recomend? I dont mind spending the extra cash if it means reliability and power compare to price and problems.....thanks

dont waste time and money on the truck motor is you are going to a probe motor. The probe motor is much more suited to performance upgrades. Even with 40% more hp (about the best you could hope for with bolt on parts) the mazda truck motor will still only have around 120hp.

I replied to your IM too. Some advice will be obsolete seeing as you are doing a probe swap, but the part about MegaSquirt is especially relevant.

the probes used a 12valve EFI motor based on the same block so it bolts in. But the intake faces back wards (toward the firewall) and the dizzy does too, so you have to cut and flip the intake and modify the firewall for the dizzy. As well as make the truck EFI.

how tough is hooking up a megasquirt EFI and how much $$ are we talking about. ive been throwing around the idea of turboing my Isuzu (not looking to smoke everything on the road, just for kicks) and EFI would be the best fuel delivery for sure.
