i working on a buddy's truck. hes running an Oasis 1000 at 175 psi. he bought a water trap from SD.com and its only rated for 150 psi. i installed it anyway (just to see) and at full pressure airleaks out of the bottom pisser.

what water traps are you guys using on your EDC or Oasis compressors running 175psi? I think SD.com sells the 150psi SMC water trap with their EDC kits. input?

oh yea, i checked to make sure the trap was installed correctly after the post on here about design errors.

you can use the parker trap, they are a really nicely built trap and we run em with 200psi all day so.

the question had nothing to do with pressure switches. his works fine.

also, dropping pressure isnt an option. he wants 175 psi.

whoops, that sounded a little assholish...

i run mine for my EDC kit to 175 all day long. there was also a post earlier in the week about bad water traps. u might check that out as well. it was titled for people with EDC kits from airlift n SD

yea, i did that before i even fired up that beast. i gotta re route a couple things so ill probably double check that, but i know i need a trap on there cus thos things pump out some water. after filling up the tank from 0-175, there was a bit of water int he trap already. i guess ill just double check everything and run it up again. maybe it was a fluke.

if anyone else has any ideas...hook a craka up!

I bought a SMC 1/2" water trap from SD.com and I run 210 psi daily and mine doesnt leak at all. I love this new water trap. I blew my last one apart cuz it was a chinsy little plastic one. That was awesome.

just wondering, how far away from the compressor(EDC) do you put the water trap in the line?

its like 9 feet from the compressor.

putting it before the checkvalve doesnt sound like a bad idea. might give that a shot.

its a 3/8s one from SD. has a lexan bowl with a metal shroud. ill eff with it a little more. hopefully itll all work out alrite.
