no, look at my diagram, move the rear end with your fingers, you'll notice that the rear end will keep the same pinion angle, that stright line through the rear end will not change angle, it will just move forward and backward with the arc of motion.

Cris, I don't get it. I tried moving the rearend with my finger and the links don't move...I need a touchscreen plug-in or something?

I'm also real confused if he wants a 2 link or 4 link now???? If it's a 2-link longer bars will help the pinion angle depending on how much lift hes trying to get, cuz with a 2" link that pinion will be pointed to the sky with 2" of travel. (it's a 2" radius right?) If its a 4 link than the length doesn't matter except as already mentioned about wheel base.

very good video. one thing is though you can change the angles of the bars on the unequal length bars vs being parallel to each other to make the pinion change less.

that video rocks. Props to the creator, that is exactly what people should see...

I wish there was a "driveshaft" in there, so people could see how a forward 4 follows the arc of the driveshaft and keeps the slip joint from moving much, as opposed to the reverse 4 which, while having good pinion angles, would pull AWAY from the driveshaft arc.

But I'm not nitpicking, that video deserves an Emmy award. Or the minitruck equivalent, maybe a Draggie?
