there have been some vehicles that had 2 link like designs from the factory, but they usually ended up changing them. 2 links have a place for some people, it doesnt mean that they have a shitty truck by any means. since people have been bagging trucks there have been so many variations of 4 links, and most of them come from people not wanting to move gas tanks or add crossmembers that dont bolt in. bar lengths and angles go hand in hand. making super long link bars is not the answer.

check it, this is an easy way to have 0 pinion angle change, and not needing 20ft long link bars. no tellin how bad taht would ride anyways.

nice drawings, ill have to save the one showing bars parallel from the side, it confuses some people who ask, thanks chris

Ive always made my uppers and lowers about the same length if not shorter. And i always try and make the link bars longer for lesspinion change..so to whomever says u can still have no pinion change with short link bars is wrong and the angle of the bars has nothing to do with pinon only side to side movement

^^ arent you the same guy who ruined that fullsize??? and you can have 0 pinion angle change with 15" bars. it IS about angles.

^^ exactly cris. A properly set up 4 link will have very little pinion angle change whether its got long or short bars. But,with the shorter bars, the wheel base will actually change throughout the range of motion. Look at an Expedition or Tahoe with airbags sometime when its laid out, notice how far forward the wheel sits in the wheelwell compared to when its aired up?

oh yea, i forgot to add that the arc is alot greater with shorter bars, so longer are better, but just sayin that you dont need to rely on length for no pinion angle change, it just makes up for poor a setup, because there is less of an arc, making the pinion angle change seem less.

nobody writes about a 2 link besides a fuckin hillbilly dumbass who thinks he knows what he is talkin about, look at trophy trucks see any 2 links on their trucks with 3 feet of suspension travel, no they 3/4 link them..2 links are fuckin stupid

sorry to bust your bubble here bro, my boy chase from south GA has had his old truck in many mags and he does nothing but 2 links.. Check out his trucks... his name on here is reallifekustoms....

uhh sure you can keep a somewhat decent pinon angle for 8 inches of lift.im getting the reason he is wanting to mount his link bars near his transmission is for a rediculous amount of lift no other reason behind it...so in that case your little 15" bars wont do the trick
