there was a datsun even smaller than that up in a yard here. if i knew i would be going full out on my truck like i am now, i would have just bought that beast. its a datsun. i barely fit. it was SUPER fuckin small. way smaller than that. was like a 61 i think. 320 possibly. it had the box higher than the rocker, wood floor i believe.

Are there any gurus on these trucks that can help me out. Theres something thats really weird bout mine (The orange one above) that I cant figure out.

-Mine is the only one with that style grill that I've seen
-Its a '64 but all the other '64s have the style grill on that blue one.
-Its the only one I've seen with a 4-speed not on the column.
-In this months MT in the history section they say that the 521 is the first 1/2 ton mini truck, but there are 1/2 ton stickers on the side of mine.

Since I havent seen any like it I'm wondering if I got a really rare one out of the bunch. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Also if someone could point me in the direction for possible parts. Im having no luck up here in WA
-Thanks

this was down the road a little from here. he wanted 2000 for pretty much a pile of rusty sheet metal. i almost bought it just for the hell of it. would have been bad ass.

Chase, I found a site all about datsun restorations. yours is in fact a 64 320

64 320

63 320

i want to say i read somewhere the production numbers of those trucks were VERY minimal. the 1200's were amazingly rare.

Whats the site? I have seen those quite a few 1964 N320 with that grill but ive never seen another NL320 like mine.
(NL320 is the unibody version, N320 is with the ugly ass bed)

I really like the cover truck and the 'history' section. Pretty good tech articles too. I think some of the articles need to be a little less 'mike' though. I felt like I had read your column before, and then there was a good amount about you in that feature on the flamed ranger too. No offense, it just seemed like 'filler' or something.
