Okay, I want drop spindles, this I know. I have a 1980 Toyota. The front suspension looks identical to the 84-95 Toyotas. But the drop spindle applications only say they work for 84-95 trucks. Will I have any problems? I don't want to buy a $250 set of spindles and not have them fit. Thanks

let me know what measurements you need & i'll let you know. i just disassembled my front end & mine's an 88 with belltech 2" spindles. they're sitting on the shop floor so i can measure any dimension you have a question about.

Could you possibly take a picture of them so I can compare to my spindles? Like the way the cliper and steering assembly bolts on and all that. Also, the way the steering linkage hooks to them. Thansk for the help.

It should work...if for some reason your calipers dont mount up then you could always get the calipers from the truck the spindles are for.

on the belltechs it's a 1 piece spindle instead of the tie rod part being separate.

those are off minitruckin's website, but if those aren't the right angle you were hoping for, let me know & i could take ones of mine & upload them to photobucket.

You dont need drop spindles to lay out, but they do help with negative camber.

I know I don't need them. But I think I may want them. I haven't decided yet, but just want to know if they will fit. So wih the Belltechs, I would just unbolt/not reuse that part of my steering linkage since it is part of the new spindle? That part looks like it may be riveted to my hub, or possibly bolted on from the backside of the rotor.

Also, I've seen aftermarket rotors for 79-95 trucks.

i have never looked at the older truck...is the place where the tie rod mounts not part of the spindle? its part of the hub?
you got any pics?

It bolts to the back of the spindle. But it loks like theres a rivet or welded bolt that holds it in place. So I would have to grind it off or get to it from the other side, by taking the rotor off. I'll take pictures of everything when I get home. Then maybe someone can help me if theres looks the same. I just want to know if the spindles will fit.
