I tried to use spindles with 16's once and it did bind on the rim. It would work on 17 inch rims. I also have a set of spindles and 17 inch rims for sale, Colorado Customs Hancock rims with tires

back in 89, I had my toyota xtra cab, torsion bars removed and bumpstops shaved to 1/4 inc. It rode like ass.

lowwer control arms are for this purpose.
lowwering with torsions.
they allow you to be low ans still have suspension travel so that your not bottoming out all the time.
i've got em and have some new mono liefs.
both of which you would need shorter shocks for.
both of which you can have for the low low price of FREE. if you could find some way to pick them up from los angeles ca.
