you can lower the cab mounts to get an extra 1" or 1.5" too after it lays crossmember

I built a new frame for mine and it has tubular arms on it. The only reason i got the arms is because someone was in a bind and needed money. I think they are from DJM they are three inch drop with bag brackets.

Alright guys, now i have a question. I've seen people either section the crossmember or z the frame to get it to lay out. Now to lay pinch, I have also heard of people cutting about 2 inches off the bottom of the frame and boxing it in. I'm kind of wary of cutting that much off the bottom. So my question is could i just lower the cab mounts an inch or so and cut maybe an inch or so off the bottom of the frame to lay pinch? And another question is, what is less of a headache, sectioning the crossmember or z'ing the frame, as far as steering and any other mods i might have to do afterwards? I know there are some knowledgeable guys in here that can hook a brother up!
