I did forward 4 with bags on the lower bars, and here is my thoughts:
I can lay on oversize 14's, so I know big ass wheels will fit, and there is no pinion angle change.
I can lift the rear to stock height, 12-13 inches of lift is pretty damn cool.
Its true you dont need that much lift, I usually only lift about 4 inches to drive, but there is such a big difference between lifting 4 inches with over axle bags (like my last truck, 80psi) and lifting 4 inches with bags on bars (about 20psi). Thats why it rides so much better, its a lower spring rate.
I would always drag my roll pan on crooked driveways with bag over axle (bodydropped) even lifted all the way up. I dont really have that problem any longer.
I built my 4 link myself, just to do it, as well as the rear clip and most of the frame. I learned more about it than just buying a box of parts and trying to decipher someone elses instructions.
