Driveline question

So the shield cup is that little sheetmetal tubular thign ont he end of the tranny I assume? I'd take a picture if I could. Should hve taken some before I set it down.

yeah theres sometimes one on the tranny and sometimes one on the tranny and the driveshaft. if the slip section of the yoke is past the sheild cup you need to extend it. its better to be safe then sorry.

off topic a lil but i usually hear of ppl having to shorten their shaft due to it pushing in on the tranny and blowing the seal.i washoping mine didnt push in on the seal. i was concerned bout it pulling out? i guess if u go for some major lift u will have to lengthen it then? but i see what ur saying of having ur axle centered.
