Its the airbag module,it might be under your seat. dont waste your money taking it to the dealer to figure it out. get another airbag module from either the dealer or a junkyard and pop it in.

well... i hooked up an obd2 autoscanner up to it(plug behind the ashtray) and it passed and said no codes detected on all... BUT THE LIGHT IS STILL ON....i hooked it to the data link connecter(behind ashtray) do i need to hook it up to the service check connecter(behind glovebox) is there a difference in the two????

hey adam (loudciv), where exactly is the port to hook it up? i see a blue box next to the blower motor under glove box but it doesn't have the same hookup as the port behind the ashtray. theres two plug ins in the blue box, one is filled with a connection, so what/where does the pin jump/or go??? thanks for the help so far. shawn

shawn, reread my post. there is no port. it is a blue plug w/ 2 wires in it. use a paperclip to jump the 2 wires. turn the car on & count the number of blinks. you will need the correct service manual to diagnose. check some real tuner sites for a download to the manual (not a haines manula that you can buy at parts store, but the dealership service manual). i know they're out there i've seen a few places w/ them, although i cant remember em now. check this site & see if it helps.http://www.troublecodes.net/honda/

heres a start to try & find your manual. you will have to create a user account before you can download.http://www.hondahookup.com/manuals/

these other guys may be correct, but what i've told you, can diagnose any check eng / mil light that you may get.
